Extensive experience

My experience spans approximately 20 years as a zoo curator, working with amphibian and reptiles in captivity, from tiny dart-frogs to False Gharials and Cuban crocodiles.

I have designed and had built ‘Amphibian Ark’, a bio-secure conservation breeding centre for threatened amphibians, which focussed on all aspects of conservation of Malagasy amphibians. Captive breeding can be an essential tool to combat species loss, particularly when ex-situ centres are within the country of origin.

I can advise on captive welfare, husbandry, nutrition and programme management.
